Ahmed Abuward is a medical doctor at Washington University with over 4 years of experience leading humanitarian, educational and youth empowerment initiatives in collaboration with international and local organizations, including The Earth Foundation, AMIDEAST, Hands Up Project, UNEP, and United Nations Volunteers. Currently Representing Palestine as Youth Representative within United Nations youth office in engagement mechanisms, advocating for meaningful youth participation and representing Palestinian youth in international dialogue on sustainable development, education, and humanitarian action. Committed to building impactful partnerships, empowering young leaders, and creating sustainable opportunities that enable communities to thrive through education, innovation, and collective action opening a wide avenue for Palestinian youth as every youth have the rights to raise up their voices and show their talents to the world.

Peter is an Irishman, founder of The Earth Foundation, home of the Earth Prize competition. He is based in Switzerland, a father of four, entrepreneur, macro portfolio manager and extreme runner. His interest in sustainability was sparked by his children’s enthusiasm for the environment, empowering the youth and his first-hand experiences running marathons on all 7 continents and the North Pole. Ihab M. Abu Ward is a Palestinian education specialist, humanitarian professional, and PhD candidate in Peace Studies ( Curriculum 4 - Education and migration) at the University Sapienza di Rome, with over 22 years of experience in education, curriculum development, teacher training, project management, and crisis-responsive education. He holds a master’s degree in Education Development from the Islamic University of Gaza and has extensive experience working with international organizations such as UNRWA, Taawon/Welfare Association, Action Against Hunger, Creative Learning Inc., the International Rescue Committee, and the Norwegian Refugee Council. His work focuses on education in emergencies, early childhood development, inclusive education, monitoring and evaluation, EMIS implementation, teacher capacity building, and protection-sensitive programming in crisis-affected contexts. Ihab has led and supported large-scale education and humanitarian initiatives in Gaza, including school leadership, emergency education planning, curriculum review, kindergarten assessment, and multi-sector field operations. He is also a member of the Moving Minds Alliance Expert Advisory Group and has contributed to global discussions and publications on early childhood development in crisis settings.
